Rainbow Falls at Watkins Glen State Park

Over the long 4th of July weekend I traveled to the Finger Lakes region of New York. I had a marvelous time. The next few images are shots from Watkins Glen State Park. We were graced with beautiful light all weekend long from both the sun and moon.

for more information.

I have wanted to see the waterfalls for some time now. They were incredible. I have also been trying to figure out how to get the "blurred" water effect with my limited point and shoot camera. Lucky me, I figured it out within this camera's capabilities... my new compact tripod didn't hurt either!

@Kathryn Lent: :) ... It was just a lucky shot that there were no people, Eh?!

This one is great, the moss with the thin water falling in contrast with the opposite brighter side. Nice job.
